A man from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, was arrested by customs inspectors at the Juarez-Lincoln International Bridge, accused of trying to cross to the American side with a false declaration of citizenship

LAREDO, TX .- Jose Rodriguez, 36, was stopped at one of the booths of Bridge II when he declared to be a U.S. citizen, born in the town of RioGrande, Texas.
Rodriguez was sent to a secondary inspection due to suspicion of lying. When agents used the IDENT system, it was determined that he had been deported to Mexico in June 2007.
The man was placed under arrest and sent to Webb County Jail.
