LAREDO, Tx.- A Border Patrolman stationed in Del Rio, Texas, became the killer of his own brother as he accidently lost control of his fire arm.
The victim is an 18 year old youngster who was with his older brother at a festival and as they returned home the accident occurred.
Spokesman Joe Baeza, of the Laredo PD, said that the case was registered at 5:00am when an emergency 911 dispatch received the call to report the incident.
The incident occured on the 1300 block of Eiseinhower, at Los Presidentes subdivision, where paramedics picked up the youngster with a bullet wound in his back.
When officials arrived, a federal agent explained that everything was a terrible accident, he assured how his fire arm was going to fall and as he intended to reach for it the .40 caliber discharged, wounding his brother as he walked in front of him.
The victim was transported to the Laredo Medical Center but unfortunately he did not make it to the hospital alive.
Baeza indicated that the federal agent was not arrested because he was cooperating with police detectives and for the moment the case is under investigation.
