Laredoan Responsible for Car Crash

LAREDO, TX. - According to the Police Department report, Erik Munoz, 33, is allegedly responsible for a crash where the victim, Gerardo Rubio, passed away.By: Special to The Laredo Sun
Investigations by detectives from the Police Department indicated that Muñoz was speeding and driving on the wrong way of FM 1472 and upon reaching Highway 35, collided with a vehicle which was driven by Gerardo Rubio.
Rubio was revived by the Fire Department paramedics, but died two hours later in hospital. The patrol took blood samples from the suspect and determined that he had a level of 1.15 blood alcohol, nearly twice the level allowed by the law.
He is now detained pending trial because it has a charge of involuntary manslaughter, a fourth degree felony.
