Woman in motel scares occupants

LAREDO, TX. - Police arrested an aggressive woman who carried a gun and scared the occupants of a motel. Laura Mata was placed under arrest and sent to the cells of the Webb County jail on charges of aggravated assault with a weapon and possession of various types of drugs.

The police report indicated that some people called the 911 emergency system to report that an armed woman walked into a motel on the 5300 block of San Bernardo Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a 9mm under a matress.
