LAREDO, TX. - John Paul Jimenez, 27, who works in the county jail since January 2007 was arrested by the police patrol in a nightclub north of Laredo.

The elements of law managed to locate him in the 6800 block of McPherson Avenue, finding a .40-caliber pistol that was seized.

The police officers arrested him for causing a brawl in a bar and after his arrest was reported to Sheriff's Department, Jimenez was placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation.

Sheriff Martin Cuellar regretted the events and said that this is not acceptable of an officer of his corporation.
