Mayor Salinas Live on CNN en Espanol

Earlier yesterday, City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas was interviewed by CNN en Español anchor/senior correspondent Juan Carlos Lopez of Viva La Noticia on his thoughts on the outcome of election primaries throughout the state and implications for November.

“We discussed several issues important to Latino voters for November: immigration reform, the Dream Act, border violence, and such,” said Mayor Salinas.

“However, I stressed that the only way our voice will be heard is if we as Latinos go out and vote. Otherwise, our issues will continue to be ignored.”

The CNN Express Bus (seen here in the background of Mayor Salinas’ live interview with Juan Carlos Lopez) was broadcasting live today from Laredo’s Gateway to the Americas Bridge I.
