Mother and son arrested for organizing a party

LAREDO, TX. - The police report stated that neighbors in the 200 block of Lake Powell patrol requested the intervention of the Department, complaining of excessive noise from a party at a house.

When law officers arrived, they found that the music was loud and asked to speak to the owners.

Sylvia Martinez received the officers when they realized there were minors at the party consuming alcoholic beverages.

This determined her arrest and when the officers were arresting her, Martinez’ son, Daniel Barreto intervened was also placed under arrest.

Officers also found a dose of cocaine in Barreto’s clothes
