LAREDO, TX. - Mucia Dovalina, spokeswoman for CBP said they had not arrested the person and is unaware if any other authority could have retained this person who was an illegal in Laredo.
"We have no record that he has been held, and if this was the case, we could not provide data because it would violate the privacy of this person. We do not know about this case and who is involved," said Dovalina.
Although the subjects wife said he was detained at the Bridge II facilities without being able to specify which authority, neither CBP nor Border Patrol have confirmed the statement of the woman.
"Perhaps this case was the Border Patrol, but for his safety and to protect the privacy of detainees, they are not allowed to confirm whether or not he was arrested," she said.
According to the statement that the wife gave of her husband who was identified as Donaciano Alvarez Ramos, he was arrested by immigration and was to be deported by the authorities.
The Border Patrol would be the only other authority who might know the case, but have not yet confirmed the release of this woman’s statement.
