Dunamis Ministries invites children from 3-12 years of age to join their Sky Camp this year. Although camp already began this Monday, Irelies Santiago, camp coordinator invites parents to bring their children for an unforgettable experience.

Sky Camp is held every night from 6 p,m. to 9 p.m. at Dunamis Ministries located on 1601 Shiloh Drive. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. every day with a donation of just five dollars.

So what can you expect from the camp?

“Lots of fun!” said Santiago.

“We want to give children experiences of a lifetime. We only have them three hours a day for a week, and some of them we will never see them again.

We want to make an impact by creating experiences they won’t be able to forget.”

This year’s theme is about knowing that everything is possible with god and that the sky is not even the limit.

“We want them to leave camp with that idea engraved in their minds that they can actually do whatever they want if they have god on their side,” said Santiago

Sky Camp deviates from the usual arts and crafts concentrating on hands on activities aimed on emphasizing the discovering and exploring. Activities are designed so that kids can discover the concept and idea behind it, instead of simply having a teacher talking about a subject.

On Monday night, kids played with hover balls figuring out if they would fly or sink. Kids had blow dryers, fans and all types of different balls while discovering this experiment.

Parents are invited at the end of each night to see the activities their children worked on. The goal of this camp is to give this generation tools that will translate in everything they do in life.

“Sky camp is about fun, making new friends while learning. It’s about clarification of values, which is really important nowadays.”

Sky Camp ends this Friday, June 22 but registration is always open for more children.

I can't get the ball to hover over my fan like the booklet shows. What am I doing wrong???? Help please.
