LAREDO, TX. - Demond Bluntson, the man who murdered his son of 1 year and 9 months and wounded his stepson, after killing their mother refuses to talk to the police.
Authorities in El Campo, Texas, a small town just over 100 miles east of Houston, confirmed that the body of the mother of two children, Brandy Cerny, was found hiding in the trees behind a small house and a mobile home, a property where Demond's father resides in.
Authorities also confirmed that Davian, the baby of 1 year and 9 months was shot dead in a 14th floor in a room at the Holiday Inn Civic Center in Laredo, Texas, was Demond’s son.
Jaydin, the 6-year-old is fighting for his life in a hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
"(Demon) has not yet spoken with police," said police chief of El Campo, Terry Stanphill, who sent an investigator to Laredo.
Stanphill released a preliminary autopsy report of Brandy’s body in which he realizes that she died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Field investigators have spoken with Brandy’s family and learned that the couple had ups and downs and hard times. Brandy and her children were last seen in church on Sunday in El Campo.
Her father reported her missing Monday morning after she failed to appear at work. On Tuesday morning, Police from El Campo called their corresponding person in Laredo that had located a Demon at the Holiday Inn Civic Center and feared for their safety.
The Laredo Police went to the hotel and after knocking on the door, they heard gun shots that were directed to the police officers.
When police entered the room and preceded to get Demon, the children were already wounded. Davia of 1 year and 9 months, son of Demon died a few seconds later.
His brother, age 6, had two bullets in his body. The Laredo Police said they did not find Brandy in the room.
Becky Ivy, an assistant county prosecutor's office at Wharton, said an investigation into the death of Brandy is ongoing and that there would be no immediate comment on possible charges.
Bonny Hargrove, 47, who lives across the street from the Demon father, said she last saw Demond about two weeks ago.
"He seemed in a good mood. He was a person who was determined, and wanted to work to take care of his family. I can not believe this happened, "Hargrove said, adding that she has lived in the neighborhood for six years and who spoke with Demon and his father from time to time.
Hargrove said she had heard about the problems of the couple's relationship who no longer lived together.
A judge set bail totaling $ 2.5 million.
Baeza said that research will continue to learn well the relationship he had with Brandy and other details that will clarify the situation.
