LAREDO, Texas – IBC Bank has enhanced its iPhone tip calculator app by adding a Mexican peso / U.S. dollar currency converter and video streaming from the IBC Bank “We Do More” YouTube channel.
The added functionality launched this month provides customers even more relevant, practical applications to add convenience to their daily lives.
“The IBC Bank tip calculator app additions offer a convenient solution for users,” IBC Chairman and CEO Dennis Nixon said. “Giving our customers practical tools to manage their finances and conduct transactions is in line with our ‘We Do More’ philosophy.”
The IBC Bank tip calculator app was originally released in 2010. The currency converter was part of the June 2012 upgrade, as analytics revealed many of the user downloads came from Mexico.
In addition to providing users a helpful tool to calculate tips when dining out, the upgraded app offers IBC Bank news, a branch location finder, and IBC Bank YouTube videos.
To better identify trends and needs of existing app users, IBC Bank also installed more robust analytics into the app. These insights allow IBC to see user geography, learn which functions are most used, the time spent on the app, frequency of visits and more.
This information is key in helping IBC Bank better serve its customers and app users.
The updated IBC Bank tip calculator app is available for download free of charge in the Apple marketplace. It joins a family of other free digital products offered by IBC, including IBC Mobile for Androids, Blackberries, and iPhones.
Customers can also keep track of their account balances and more 24/7, free of charge with IBC Bank Online and IBC Voice.
IBC Bank is a member of International Bancshares Corporation (NASDAQ: IBOC), an $11.8 billion multi-bank financial holding company headquartered in Laredo, Texas, with 215 facilities and more than 375 ATMs serving 88 communities in Texas and Oklahoma.
