LAREDO, TX. - New artists were added to the line up for the concert to be held this Tuesday, July 17. County Judge, Danny Valdez said that groups and singers such as David Lee Garza y ​​Los Musicales, Jimmy Gonzalez y Mazz, Elida y Avante, Zamorales, Jay Perez, La Calma and Michael Salgado have confirmed their attendance.

"People can go to the International Bank of Commerce branches and HEB stores to redeem three school supplies for a ticket to the concert of S.O.S," he said.

The event will also feature the Johnny Canales Show, a Tejano music legend, and will be filmed live on July 17 at the premises of the Laredo Energy Arena. "We expect the support of the community because all the proceeds will be distributed to students in L.I.S.D.

and U.I.S.D before the start of the new school year," said Judge Valdez. He said that this concert will celebrate 13 years of organizing this event in order to help parents.

"We expect several tons of school supplies that many families will benefit from this event," he said. The Laredo Energy Arena will open its doors at 5:00 pm and the concert will be held from 6:00 to 11:00 pm.

He mentioned that people can also go on the day of the event and take three school supplies for each ticket. They need books, paper, pens, pencils, backpacks, crayons and folders.

Judge Valdez thanked all the volunteers and sponsors who made the special event possible. IBC Banks, HEB Stores, El Taco Palenque, AEP Texas, AT & T, Uni-Trade, the City of Laredo, Z-93, Fuddruckers, the Fernando A. Salinas Foundation and Sheriff Martin Cuellar are among the sponsors.
