Deputy arrested for domestic violence

LAREDO, TX. - Perez, a sheriff's deputy was arrested by police officers accused of domestic violence.

In addition to receiving a domestic violence charge, the deputy also received another charge for interfering with an emergency call.

The officer had worked alongside the sheriff's department for eight years. He was released on bail shortly after his arrest.

Sheriff Martin Cuellar said that each employee in his department is responsible for their own actions.
