LAREDO, TX. - The program is called "Stuff the Bus" and is similar to the one UISD district held last weekend, with the goal of helping families with economic problems.

LISD district staff will be in two locations simultaneously on Saturday, Aug. 11, asking the community's support to raise school supplies. LISD school officials will park school buses at the parking lot of HEB Guadalupe Street and the HEB Saunders Street from 9 a.m.

to 11 a.m. at both locations .

Volunteers from the school district are responsible for receiving the notebooks, pens, pencils, sheets, backpacks, and other items that can help children to start school.

Uniforms will also be recieved in good conditions for students from pre kindergarten through twelfth grade in LISD. All supplies collected in this special event will be distributed to needy children in the district, which will be selected by school counselors.
