LAREDO, TX. - Charlie San Miguel, City Council District 6, continues to advocate for the residents affected and said that we have to ask the city government for help.

The only other option left is to file a lawsuit or petition to the city government to compensate the cost of the damage and make corrections as required.

Dozens of homes were flooded as furniture, beds, and appliances were lost. The structure of households, mainly drywall or thin coatings were damaged.

Councilman San Miguel expressed that these families need help. Those affected by the rain attended the last council meeting on Monday Aug. 7 where they submitted videos and pictures of the damages.

Councilman San Miguel is also advocating re-designing the drainage system of the city, to avoid severe damage.
