LAREDO, TX. - Half of the 128-unit apartment complex at La Terraza in Lomas del Sur is already rented. Those interested in applying should hurry, councilman Mike Garza reported.

He recalled that this housing project of 128 apartments was realized through a partnership between the city government and the NRP Group, to benefit working families who want to live in South Laredo.

"There are still units available but they are going very fast. Those interested should hurry to call and see if they qualify,” advised Garza.

The complex is located at 3201 Ejido, where the apartments were built at a cost of $17.3 million.

The housing project in Lomas del Sur offers apartments of one, two, three and four bedrooms. To qualify, applicants must have a steady job as a primary requirement.

He said that the manager, Christy Cruz, is taking in applicants on Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Wednesdays until 7 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m.

to 5 p.m. and even on Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.

People can call 877-826-1164 for more information. The initial application fee is $16.50 and each additional one will cost $11.
