LAREDO, TEXAS - The conference hopes to build on the momentum from last year’s event, which drew close to 1,000 attendees, and was covered by major media, including the New York Times and Texas Monthly.

This year's keynote speaker is world-famous UFO lecturer Stanton T. Friedman, a nuclear physicist who has investigated UFOs for more than 50 years. A wave of UFO sightings in the Laredo area has created high interest in the phenomenon, according to conference organizer Ismael Cuellar, director of the Laredo Paranormal Research Society.

Recently, when Cuellar showed UFO videos he took in Laredo, to Friedman and Mexican UFO investigator Jaime Maussan, both men were astonished. Cuellar's footage is just part of the ever-growing list of UFO sightings being experienced by persons in the Laredo area, as will be spotlighted at the UFO conference, which will be held at Texas A & M International University, 5201 University Blvd., in the Student Center Ballroom, which accommodates 800 people.

Admission is $10 per person. Children under 10 are free. The official Web site is LaredoUFO.com. Friedman, who will present two lectures, is considered the world’s leading UFO investigator.

Friedman has been conducting research into UFOs since the late 1950s and was responsible for breaking the story of the Roswell UFO crash. A dual citizen of Canada and the U.S., Friedman is well known for his frequent appearances on television documentaries related to UFOs.

He is truly without equal in the world of UFO research. Friedman's keynote speech at 6:45 p.m. is titled “Flying Saucers and Science,” featuring a comprehensive look at the scientific data on the flying saucer phenomenon.

Friedman has distilled five decades of research on UFOs, and shares his work on a wide variety of classified advanced nuclear and space systems. He answers a number of physics questions in layman’s terms, and establishes that travel to nearby stars is within reach without violating the laws of physics.

Photographs of little known, far-out advanced propulsion systems, on some of which he worked, are included. Friedman also presents data demonstrating the ability to withstand high accelerations with some surprising results.

He clearly shows that government policy on this subject has been to provide false, misleading claims and disinformation, and establishes that the subject truly represents a Cosmic Watergate.

After hearing this lecture, audiences will never feel the same about UFOs again. Friedman's other lecture, at 11 a.m., is titled “Man’s Place in the Universe”

The conference also features a lecture by Noe Torres, author of Fallen Angel: UFO Crash Near Laredo, Texas. In addition to being an author, Torres is also a publisher, UFO investigator, and member of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).

He is the author of Ultimate Guide to the Roswell UFO Crash and a number of other books related to the UFO phenomenon. Torres holds a Bachelor’s in English and a Master’s in Library Science from the University of Texas at Austin.

With California UFO researcher Ruben Uriarte, he has written three books: Mexico’s Roswell: The Chihuahua UFO Crash, The Other Roswell: UFO Crash on the Texas-Mexico Border, and Aliens in the Forest: The Cisco Grove UFO Encounter.

He debuted his book Fallen Angel at the first-annual Laredo UFO Conference in November 2011.

With Roswell historian John LeMay, Torres wrote The Real Cowboys & Aliens: UFO Encounters of the Old West. He also served as editor and publisher of the books Roswell USA by John LeMay, Roswell Alien Autopsy by Philip Mantle, and Russia’s Roswell Incident by Paul Stonehill and Philip Mantle.

Torres has appeared on the History Channel’s “UFO Hunters,” Coast to Coast AM, the Jeff Rense program, and many other media outlets. He is also a frequent lecturer at UFO conferences and appears annually at the Roswell UFO Festival.

He was a featured speaker at the 2011 Laredo UFO Conference, along with Travis Walton.

The conference also presents Ismael Cuellar and the Laredo Paranormal Research Society, who will discuss “Laredo UFO Mysteries,” a review of the group’s latest, amazing research into UFO sightings in the Laredo area, as well as their research into other paranormal phenomenon.

"Laredo is definitely a hot spot right now," Cuellar said. "Maybe we're the new Roswell."

Also scheduled to appear is veteran UFO investigator Dr. Robert Gross, speaking on one of the world’s most famous UFO cases,“The Kecksburg UFO Incident”.

Another speaker is researcher Stephen Andrasko, who will discuss the new book "Aliens in the Forest: The Cisco Grove UFO Encounter." Andrasko, who assisted the authors with their research for the book, will present eyewitness testimony about a horrifying encounter with aliens that took place in 1964 near Sacramento, California.

The 2012 Laredo UFO Conference program, including a detailed guide to all the lectures, may be viewed at: http://roswellbooks.com/laredo/?page_id=379.

Admission to the 2012 Laredo UFO Conference is only $10 per person - payable at the door. Children under 10 are free when accompanied by an adult. The conference will take place at Texas A & M International University, 5201 University Blvd., in the Student Center Ballroom.
