Sexual Predator to be Prosecuted in Laredo

LAREDO, Tx.- A man accused of commmitting sexual indecency with his step daughter, faces a a jury trial beginning on Monday the 8th. The subject faces a possible 20 year sentence.

David Garza, 49, has five formal accusations for indecency with minor, a second degree felony. He was arrested on April 30th 2008 by local police after being issued two warrants by justice of the peace.

Investigations acclaimed that Garza forced a seven year old girl to touch his genitals up to five different occasions, ask her not to tell anyone.

According to reports, the girl told her mother and grandmother, who filed charges immediately before authorities. Garza was placed under arrest and sent to the county jail on a 600,000 dollar bond.

Opening arguments by the District Attorney's Office are expected to begin this Monday, represented by Assistant Ramon Villafranca, who has more than half a dozen witnesses.
