LAREDO, TX.- A resident of Ontario, Canadá was arrested by Customs and Border Protection inspectors accused of transporting 7.6 kilos of cocaine and 600 grams of methamphetamines.

Peter Unger was sent to the Webb county jail on federal charges of possession of narcotics.

Reports indicate that Unger arrived at one of the boothes on the Juárez-Lincoln international bridge aboard a Chevrolet Silverado with Canadian plates.

Custom inspectors decided to send the vehicle to secondary and upon using the x-ray system, authorities were able to detect some abnormalities in the truck panels.

Unger transported five packages with a total of 7 kilos 600 grams of cocaine and a package of methamphetamines with 600 grams.

The narcotics have a street value of more than half a million dollars and were turned over to the Immigration and Customs Enforcements (ICE) in order to continue with investigations.
