Two Arrested for Human Trafficking

LAREDO, Tx.- Border Patrol agents arrested two men accused of hiding 5 illegal immigrants in a motel, with the intentions of taking them to Waco, Texas.

Andrés Castillo, resident of Laredo and Pedro Hernández, from Baytown, Texas, were caught on the act as they were exiting a room from the Siesta Motel, located on San Bernardo avenue.

The subjects walked to a nearby store, and minutes later a van parked right in front of the motel room where the subjects were.

A little while later the van exited the parking lot and the driver stopped at a gasoline station located on Ugarte and San Bernardo, where local police detained the van.

Authorities were able to verify that the subjects carried some illegal immigrants and asked for the Border Patrol for assistance. After interrogating the subjects they drove to the Siesta motel where officials found 3 more immigrants in the room.
