LAREDO, Tx.- Border Patrol agents found 843.3 pounds of marijuana among some forage for livestock but did not arrest anyone. Reports indicate that several officers were running routine checks on highway 59, near Callaghan.By: LAREDO SUN
When authorities noticed that a heavy truck was parked beside the road and they decided to stop and inspect it. There was no one inside the vehicle and in the back they found a forage role for livestock.
A trained canine gave alert that caused officials to open the truck and found a total of 44 packages with 843.3 pounds of marijuana with a street value of 674,656 dollars.
The drug and the vehicle were turned over to the DEA to continue with investigations.
