LAREDO, Tx. - After dozens of houses were damaged by the Rio Grande flood, Laredoans begin to come together to help those who were affected.

Campaigns are being held in several places to donate items for those who suffered damages to their homes and especially for those who lost everything in the floods.

The KGNS television station and the Guerra Communications Company have held events to raise funds for people affected by the floodwaters since yesterday and will be throughout the week.

Some of the most needed items that people can take to the facilities are bottled waters, canned foods, clothing and footwear.

Domantions will be received from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm. The campaign will continue through Friday.

People who want to help those affected by the flooding of rio Bravo can also go to the Salvation Army or to the American Red Cross. Authorities also opened a banking account at First National Bank to receive donations for those affected by this flood.

The special account number is 101-0000-201-0000 and donations should be made payable to the City of Laredo or on behalf of Alex Ten.
