Hotels in Laredo with 90% Occupancy Rate

The Laredo Chamber of Commerce President, Miguel Conchas, mentioned that this past weekend, which was a Mexican holiday, the city's hotels had and occupancy rate between 95 and 100% out of the 4 thousand rooms in the locality.
Over 4,000 Laredo's hotel rooms were occupied, due to the amount of Mexican visitors that were in the city shopping.

LAREDO, Tx.- Laredo's hotels registered an occupancy rate between 90 and 100% this past weekend, which was a holiday in Mexico.

Over 4,000 Laredo's hotel rooms were occupied, due to the amount of Mexican visitors that were in the city shopping.

Thanks to the commemoration of Mexico's Revolution day, from Friday the 13 to Monday the 16th the Laredo Texas hotel owners had a good weekend, economically speaking, since the 30 hotels in Laredo were occupied to their fullest, thanks to Mexican customers.

Miguel Angel Conchas, President of the Laredo Chamber of Commerce, said the so-called Mexican "bridge" or holiday produced great profits to hotels.

"There are a total of 30 hotels with four thousand rooms in Laredo; in the past four years six large sized hotels have been built, which represent 1,000 rooms out of the 4,000 total in the city", Conchas mentioned.

In addition, Conchas mentioned that something very positive was that on Sunday the 15th there was almost a full occupancy rate, since most Mexican visitors left until Monday the 16th.

"In these critical times of economic crisis this economic spill was just right for all of us, we hope that it continues this way, especially since Thanksgiving and the Christmas season is right around the corner, which actually starts the last Thursday of November", he said in the interview.

This weekend Laredo received visitors from the Mexican states of Coahuila, San Luis Potosi, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and Federal District, therefore the city has to continue to welcome Mexican
